A Heart for Little Ones: Hendersonville Mom Opens In-Home Infant Care Center
Finding the right childcare can be one of the most challenging decisions for a parent. For Hendersonville mom Shalita Thomison, this decision was deeply personal. As a mother of two boys, including her youngest, Kenden, who has Autism, she knows firsthand the importance of finding a nurturing, loving, and safe environment for little ones. Now, she’s turning that experience into a passion project—K’s Place Child Care Center, an in-home daycare opening on March 31, 2025.
“I’ve been a mom for a long time and remember how hard it was to find the right care,” Shalita shares. “I always found the best, most loving, and supportive care in home daycares. My boys were loved, protected, safe, and nurtured. It was their second home from our home.”
Now, she’s ready to provide that same loving environment to other families in the community. K’s Place Child Care Center will offer:
- Infant care only (up to four learners)
- A fun, clean, and client-centered atmosphere
- A warm and nurturing environment
- The loving touch of “Gigi,” Shalita’s mother, ready to provide plenty of cuddles and hugs ā¤ļøā¤ļø
Shalita’s personal experience as a special needs mom has shaped her approach to childcare. Kenden receives support through nursing care and various therapies, and Shalita understands the importance of individualized attention. At K’s Place, every baby will receive that same level of care and affection, making it a true home away from home.
With a heart for children and a mission to serve families, Shalita is excited to welcome little ones into K’s Place Child Care Center. Parents seeking a caring and dedicated provider for their infant can reach out via DM or email at ksplacechildcarecenter@yahoo.com for more information.
As Shalita says, “I am excited to serve you and your little blessing!”
